Kufri is a half hour drive from Apple Bud Home Stay theog and a must visit. It's about 1500 ft higher that Shimla and offers great views of the Himalayas, the Shivalik Range if I'm not mistaken.
There is history attached to the place with the Chini Bungalow located there. This cottage was the site of some very important meeting between Indian and Chinese leaders and hence the name. Others prefer to believe the local warlord had 365 wives, one of whom was Chinese, and therefore the name. Take your pick!
